Fly fishing on
our streams and rivers...
Fish the fabled limestone streams of South Central
Pennsylvania and Central Pennsylvania with us at TroutGetter Flies
and Guide Service. We live within an hour of (and fish all) the
great limestoners in South Central Pennsylvania. These include the
Yellow Breeches, the Letort, Big Springs, and Falling Springs.
We
also fish numerous small mountain streams in the area. These are
highly productive midge factories throughout the year as well as
supporting major hatches of Mayflies and Caddis Flies during the
prime fishing months. These factors make for exceptional fishing
year round. All of these streams are within an hour and half
to two hours from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington.
Travel another hour and a half and you can be fishing
Spring Creek, Penns Creeks, Bald Eagle Creek, the Little Juniata,
Yellow Creek, and Spruce Creek.
For those of you looking for bigger water, bigger
fly experience, or just a different venue, we also provide guided
boat and wade trip on the Susquehanna River for smallmouth bass.
When the heat of the dog days of summer slows trout fishing, the
smallmouth bass fishing is just starting to heat up. This big water
experience provides a new challenge of fishing for large bronzebacks
on over seventy miles trophy-classified water.
Exclusive guided trips on one of Pennsylvania's best
private spring creeks can also be yours! This is one of the prettiest
waters on the East coast delivering superior fish. This water is
managed for the quality of the fish -- not the numbers -- and is
available for a limited number of days per week. This stream section
is a half-mile long, and once booked, it belongs exclusively to
your fishing party. No crowds and no fishing pressure to deal with!
See the Rates Page for reservation details.
We also specialize in guiding on the Ausable and Saranac
River systems in the Adirondack Mountains of northern New York State.
These two rivers flow through the grandest and most rugged terrain
on the East Coast. They are big free flowing freestone streams.
These are the rivers of my youth and I still consider them my home
water, even though I left some years ago. If you have not fished
these streams, or visited the area, you owe it to yourself to schedule
a trip next year.
It takes an experienced guide to put you on the fish,
with the right fly for the time of year, on all these streams. TroutGetter
Guide Service is committed to providing you with the highest quality,
knowledgeable guide service in the area. We are either guiding or
fishing 200 plus days a year. With over forty years of flyfishing
experience, we can provide a level of expertise unmatched anywhere
in the industry.
Eliminate the trial and error that adds confusion
and diminishes the enjoyment of your big trip. Let us structure
a trip that will accommodate any experience level from beginning
novice to seasoned angler. We provide half day, full day, and split
day trips to fit any schedule or budget. Lunch is provided with
full and split day trips. Please see the Rates pages for pricing
and detailed information.
Our only goal is to provide you with a pleasurable
experience that will bring you back year after year. |
